Hello, and thank you for visiting my page!
My name is Kelly Gremley and I discovered my passion for playing racquetball my freshman year of college. This sport has opened up a world of opportunities for me to travel and compete since day one and the camaraderie is second to none. I graduated from Purdue University with dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Geomatics Engineering in December 2013, and one of my biggest aspirations post-academia is to play on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT).
It probably doesn't come as a shock to most people that racquetball is drastically underfunded relative to other sports offering multimillion dollar contracts to professional athletes season after season. The expenses that accompany traveling all over the country (and internationally, on occasion) to compete at the highest level accumulate rather quickly between hotel stays, airfare, tournament entry fees, and miscellaneous costs compounded on a routine basis.
There are many ways to express my appreciation for donations in support of my dreams, but the idea of extending that gratitude beyond just a personal level embraces the 'give a little, take a little, leave a little' motto.
In effort to reciprocate the generosity that would enable me to pursue my passion, I will donate monetary winnings at the end of the 2014-15 season to charities selected by the top three contributors. The percentage of prize money supporting the chosen causes would be equal to each contribution relative to the cumulative fundraising efforts. I will be donating 10% of total rewards to the foundation(s) I wish to personally support, but the remaining beneficiaries are entirely determined by YOU!
