Kenny Eats a Steak

Let’s get right to the point. I was involved in the CoreFit program at Core Combat Sports. I met a guy named Kenny who wanted to get in shape. We high fived, made a few hundred “that’s what she said” jokes, and started training. 3 months into the program, I learned that Kenny did not like certain foods, mostly because of texture. I never in my life could have imagined the horror that was about to be unleashed on my soul.
Me: “Kenny, to mix things up, you should try some lean steak or ground beef in the evenings.”
Kenny: “I have never eaten a steak. I tried a burger once.”
Some of you might be thinking, “wow, this 2 year old child named Kenny can really articulate himself well.” False. Kenny is not a 2 year old child that hasn’t developed the ability to properly digest a 30 oz steak. He is a Thirty something adult that can put away beer like an Olympic Beer drinker (fingers crossed that becomes a thing). Yet, has never attempted to eat steak.
I didn’t press the matter because I have a job that doesn’t involve other peoples depressing decision not to overindulge in delicious red meat. Flash forward about 8 months. A combination of healthy habits and an intense training plan from Coach Eric Hammer of Core Performance, Kenny has dropped 60 lbs. Nobody works harder than Kenny. He deserves a steak, and I am going to give him the opportunity to eat the finest steak a Go Fund Me account can buy.
I hope everyone gets the chance to meet Kenny. The only thing bigger than his heart, are his Cat T-shirts he wears when training.
I don’t want everyone to lump this Go Fund Me request in with those people asking for money to get new clothes, or a new car, or what have you. Everyone knows Kenny likes to have fun, so we are going to have fun with this, while giving back. All of the money that exceeds the price of the steak will be going to a program here in Louisville Kentucky that packages meals and distributes them to children around the world that need them.
If you have friends in the restaurant business that you think will provide Kenny with the best steak experience, pass this along.
