Elephant Sanctuary Volunteer Trip

All of my life I have had only 2 dreams; To travel the world and to work with animals. I now have the time and the opportunity to do both- at Elephant Nature Park outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand. This volunteer opportunity allows me to work hands-on with injured and rescued elephants.

The park hosts over 30 elephants that have been rescued from dangerous and abusive situations, and gives them a place to roam free and live as wild animals should.It is also one of the few parks that does not allow people to ride the elephants. This park is also host to other rescued animals; dogs, cats and buffalos being a few! 

I have always had a soft spot for dogs, and have volunteered and fostered for quite some time now. As I have grown older, however, I've realized that endagered wild animals need just as much help. On January 1st, 2014 I went vegetarian and decided I was going to value all life as equal, and started planning this trip to help elephants in need. 

The only thing holding me back now is funding. This trip is extremely expensive for a young student without help from parents. Fundraising is the only way for me to take this rewarding and life enriching trip, but I have faith in the generoisty of friends and strangers alike! 

Please help me get to Thailand to help these elephants, all fees go directly towards the sanctuary and is used to pay for maintenance, food, enclosures, etc for the elephants. It is a great cause, and if you can't get out to volunteer, please donate and I will work hard for all of us!
