Kathy Powell Cancer Support Fund

Our local hero, Kathy Powell, is undergoing cancer surgery to remove one of her lungs. 

Those who know and love Kathy are aware of her ever-giving heart, her endless compassion for those in need, and her fierce advocacy on  behalf of those who have trouble speaking for themselves.

Those of you who were introduced to Kathy through her "Local Hero" profile in the VC Reporter, know that all that was said is true - and so much more! Kathy is a hero to all of us. See the VC Reporter story here .

We are raising funds to help Kathy and her family through her recovery, enabling her fiance, Kevin, to spend more time away from work, supporting her special needs son with extra help he will need while his primary caregiver is mending, and giving those who appreciate Kathy a way to help her through this trying time.
