Photojournalism Student Needs Equipment!

Hello!
My name is Kaitlin and I am a photojournalism student about to start my sophomore year at Ohio University. I need some help raising money for some gear. I have one part, but need more! I need at least two lenses, a wide and a telephoto, a flash, and a tri-pod (I had a cheap one but it recently broke. I had it for four years!) All of this is required by the School of Visual Communication, which is one of the top photojournalism schools in country.
I was pretty successful in my first year at OU. I hold one of three staff photographer positions on our student paper, The Post, and also helped start a video series highlighting local musicians. Before that I worked for a studio in Cincinnati doing senior and family portraits, and video shoots when needed.

After doing hours of research, my goal amount is about the average of used and new prices, and also a few variations of the lenses and other equipment I'm looking at.
Any leftover money will be used toward books and things for school.
