I unfortunately suffer from ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy), Fibromyalgia, Hyper Mobility Syndrome and quite a few other serious health issues and have done so for many years. I have fought to keep independent and live by myself. I am not able to work so am totally reliant on state benefits and the kindness of others in my everyday life :(
For many years I have been reliant on crutches, but have now done severe damage to my hands and wrists, as well as my knees and hips. Thus leaving me unable to use my crutches to get about anymore!
As my mobility has detiriorated I have become dependant on a wheelchair to get out and about, unfortunately the NHS wheelchair I have is extremely heavy and pretty much impossible for me to use :( Thus I rarely leave my home!
After lots of research I have found a very lightweight and easily transportable self propelling wheelchair. I also need to have some aspects of the chair customed to my requirements. But as with most things for the disabled it is not cheap and I have no financial support to buy it :(
Please help by donating money, be it a large or a small amount any helps!
