Fanelli Family Fund

Frank Fanelli Jr. lost his 6 month battle with stage four cancer on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Frank was married to a former nurse and dancemom, Jackie, and was the father to two college students, Anthony, a junior at Seton Hill, and Auriel, a freshman at Slippery Rock. The family is facing an uphill battle to stay on track with college fees, living expenses, health care costs and to take care of the hospital bills from Frank's battle. Read on to learn more about this incredible man.

All 5' 4" of Frank was focused on serving others, whether that be through his construction management job, his many roles in coaching youth hockey and baseball because of his son Anthony, to being a "DanceDad" to his daughter, Auriel and all of the ALDC dancers, to being a dedicated husband, son, brother and uncle. It is hard to find a man who was more respected, especially to a such a huge community of kids and the families that he was always surrounded by because of his involvement with both of his children's passions.

He coached his son's baseball  and hockey teams, over 10 years, right up to when his son went to college. This built a platform of work ethic, skills and talents, that enabled Anthony to be a contributing member of Seton Hill's NCAA World Series winning baseball team. Without Frank's unwavering support and rearing, Anthony says he would not have achieved this life changing dream.

You wouldn't guess that an avid sports fan like Frank would get into his daughter's dance, just as much as his son's activities, but Frank was full of surprises. He attended as many dance competitions as he could and even endured Nationals, surrounded by all the craziness of DanceMoms. He could always be spotted, standing in the back of the auditorium, cheering for each and every team member. Sadly, Auriel's last National competition came a week before Frank was diagnosed. Auriel won 1st place in the Sheer Talent National competition for her senior solo, "Purple Rain." You could hear Frank cheering all the way from Pittsburgh! The DanceMom fandom actually posted, retweeted and "liked" the photo above with the hashtag #FIGHTFRANKFIGHT over 250,000 times in his last two weeks!

Frank never let his battle with cancer define him. Up until the last days, he was still more concerned about everyone else, than he was himself. This is exactly who Frank was...a giver. Frank was the sole breadwinner in the household, as Jackie had given up her nursing career to care for her mother several years ago. She was by Frank's side every moment, morning and night, through his journey. None of us will ever understand her loss, but we continue to offer her our prayers and support.

This is where you come in. This GoFundMe is asking for your help, no matter what amount you feel you can give, to help Frank's family, Jackie, Anthony and Auriel. All donations will make a difference and will be greatly appreciated for this family. After you enter your donation, please share. Thank you and God Bless.
