My name is Robyn. I am the owner of Rockin' Robyn's Sassy Burger, a food cart located at 3423 SE Belmont Street, Portland, Oregon 97214.
I opened my business on January 1, 2013. I am a single mother of a wonderful and intelligent fifteen year old boy, Sam. Sam and I run the food cart together. He has learned a great deal by being at the front window. He is absolutely amazing with the customers. We have a food 'cart', which isn't very mobile. So our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a food 'truck', so Sam and I can take our show on the road, so to speak. Statistically, food trucks are more financially capable of surviving, especially in the winter months when food cart sales decrease by 75%.
If you have not already tried a Sassy Burger, I would strongly suggest it. They are amazing! I use fresh hamburger meat from a local meat market, White Country Meats in Gresham, Oregon. I have a seasoning mixture, I created myself. White Country infuses the seasoning into the hamburger as they are grinding the hamburger up fresh for me. I also buy my hamburger buns from a local bakery, Portland French Bakery. A quality bun really makes a huge difference. I like to stand out above the rest!
I also make incredible French fries. I use fresh Oregon potatoes and a Creole seasoning salt. Some customers have told me they like the fries better than the burger!! I find that hard to believe, but nonetheless, together they are by far the best combination since bread and butter!
