Hola! Me llamo Justin (My name is Justin). I am a student in the small town of Palestine, Arkansas. Although I am not enrolled in a Spanish class this year, I attend Ms. Farris' Spanish 2 class during my free period every day, just because it interests me and I want to learn. I was given the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica with the Spanish class this summer and I am very excited for the trip!
In order to participate in this lifechanging opportunity, I have to raise $2,600. Pero hay un problema! (But there is a problem!) Through my job and income taxes, I expect to be able to pay $1,000 on my own. However, I cannot afford the remainder of the trip.
This Christmas, there was a fire that partially destroyed my home. Most of my family's belongings were destroyed and we are still unable to stay in our home. Because of this, expenses are limited to bare necessities such as food and clothing. I am currently staying in Jonesboro, Arkansas with a family member - over an hour away from my school - while my home is repaired. I am a hard-working senior who is strongly motivated to broaden my horizons by traveling to Costa Rica with my Spanish class. This trip will allow me to see another culture outside of my small town and experience the lifestyle of the Costa Rican people.
I really hope that everyone who sees this will donate at least $1. Every dollar counts. If 1,000 people saw this and contributed even $1, I would be almost to my goal.
