Friends/Co-workers/Well-wishers of Oleg and Julia,
Julia has unfortunately been through multiple battles of cancer througout her life already. In 2006 she was diagnosed with Stage III Lymphoma, at that time she and her husband Oleg lost all of their possesions due to the financial burden of the treatment and medical care needed. After a long battle the cancer was put into remission and she was cancer free for the next 10 wonderful years. During that time they gave birth to their biggest blessing, their son Alexander, who is now 5 years old. However, in March 2016 after several tests Doctors diagnosed Julia with Stage I Breast Cancer. They were able to complete surgery to remove the tumor in April of 2016, which she and her husband thought would be the end of this cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, in January 2017 she began having pain in her hip/back, she went back to the Doctor and they completed a PET scan which ended up with a diagnosis of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to the bones in her hips, back, ribs, and skull. Currently, she is undergoing Chemotherapy and targeted therapy with Perjeta and Herceptin. She has already finished her 10 radiation treatments at the end of February. At the beginning of the year, she also had to have a major operation called Hip Nailing to implant titanium rods into her hips for her bones to be able to support the necessary treatment. Julia, Oleg, and Alexander are not giving up hope and are continuing to push forward with treatments so that Julia can live a long and happy life. In order to do this, any help that you all can provide Oleg and Julia would be utmost grateful.
