Justin's Ride to Recovery Fund

On Saturday, October 25th, Justin Stoker was at a bike festival when he suffered a crash, breaking his humerus near the shoulder joint. Specifically, he fractured his humeral head, which is the ball shaped portion of the long bone in his arm that connects with his shoulder joint. His injury is going to require surgery to heal.
Justin is a relatively new cyclist, having ridden mountain bikes for a few years, and beginning on the road this past summer. He’s excited to be in the best shape of his life and improving every day, and realizing his new found fitness, he began competing last year. Beyond what cycling has done for Justin though, is what Justin has done for the cycling community. He’s an infectiously upbeat addition to any setting. He enthusiastically leads group rides and is always willing to help a novice find the joy that he’s discovered in cycling and the community. He’s helped a number of people discover a more active lifestyle, and has even helped a few avid cyclists rediscover the joy of being on a bike.
Unfortunately, this injury is not only going to keep Justin from pursuing his goals in cycling, it will likely keep him from working throughout the recovery process as well. He holds two jobs which require him to work with his hands. He’s an electrician during the day, and a bartender at night.
This page has been created to help Justin financially through the recovery process. We hope that the money raised here will help offset not only Justin’s medical bills, but also his day to day living expenses while he is unable to work regularly during his recovery.
