THE LAKE DISTRICT ENDURO CHALLENGE

Donation protected
I am raising much needed funds for my local RSPCA Macclesfield & Buxton branch – which is a separate charity to the national RSPCA, working under their guidelines and run by volunteers. Here is a bit of info on how they run and why the funds i raise will be so important to them.......

They are not centrally funded by the National RSPCA and are completely self-funded by donations directly made to the branch from members of the public, a small percentage of donations made to ‘door to door’ collectors and funds raised by their fundraising team.

Everyone involved within the branch is a volunteer, they do not have an animal centre, instead their animals reside in either private boarding facilities, or with a dedicated team of fosterers.

I would like to do my bit and raise as many funds as possible to enable them to help the many animals in need.

To do this i have decided to do The Lake District Enduro Challenge, which involves:-

1)      Rowing 2 miles across Derwent water

2)      Hiking 6 miles up “Haystacks”, one of the highest fells in the Lake District at 597m

3)      Cycling 23 miles around the area taking in lots of views but also more big hills

The event itself is all covered in one day – starting at 7am on the morning of the 20th June and finishing at who knows what time that evening.

Wish me luck!!!!
