Get Joey & Katie Home for Christmas

We started this page not just for ourselves, but for our families. We miss them a lot, but they miss us too. It's been more than 2 years since we've been home, or seen any of our parents or siblings (or aunts or cousins or... you get the picture.) They have been two LONG years. A lot of stuff can happen in two years, and it's really hard to experience all of that "stuff" from a distance.

It's hard every day, to share joy and sorrow only over the phone, or in letters, or on the Internet. But it's the worst on holidays--especially Christmas. We don't have any family out here in Illinois, or any friends to spend holidays with now that we've all graduated. So when a birthday or Thanksgiving or some other holiday comes around we usually just spend it together--or worse, separately, because Joey works two jobs.

So this year we want to make sure we can get home, even though it will only be for a little while (probably about a week.) We want to hug our fathers and kiss our mothers and bask in the joy of being with family.
