Pedal Power Transalps Support Fund

The Challenge:
On 17th July 2016, The Pedal Power Racing Chicks will enter the toughest amateur mountain bike stage race called BIKE Transalp 2016.
The BIKE Transalp is one of the most respected endurance mountain bike events in Europe. It is a seven day, seven stage race across the Alps. 600 teams-of-two from over 60 countries around the world will ride challenging trails, steep up- and downhills covering almost 520 km of terrain and climbing over 17,750m in altitude. The race starts in Imst, Austria, travels through Switzerland and finishes in Arco, Italy.
The seven daily stages include: Imst (Austria) – Nauders (Austria) - Scuol (Switzerland) - Livigno (Italy) - Bormio (Italy) - Mezzana (Italy) - Trento (Italy) & Arco (Italy).
Racing Chicks, Jo and Zara will take on this enormous physical and mental challenge with the travelling support of the Pedal Power mechanic.
The Race Aim:
To podium!
The Social Aim:
To inspire, encourage and enable others to challenge what they are capable of and take up their own adventures.
The Help Needed:
The Chicks latest adventure, Project TransAlps is largely self funded. It is a massive logistical task that requires the assistance of at least one support crew who shall be our mechanic, driver, photographer, caterer and much more. It’s not just two crazy chicks with bikes.
The Chicks shall be meeting their own entry, travel and accommodation costs but we are hoping to obtain some financial assistance to help us pay for our support crew member’s travel and accommodation costs. We also really hope to raise more than what is needed to cover our support crew costs, and if we do, the excess shall be donated to Dementia UK, who provide specialist one-to-one support and expert advice to families dealing with the everyday challenges of dementia.
If you would like to donate towards our initiative, we would be extremely grateful! Every little helps.
The Opportunities:
We are also looking for a few larger company sponsorships in return for a number of media and advertising opportunities which will promote and benefit your business. For further details on these opportunities, please contact either zara or Jo
