Prayers for Keja

Donation protected

The day after Christmas Kéja, a 10 year old from Elkhart, Indiana, was involved in an accident where a dart was accidentally thrown into her eye. She suffered a corneal laceration, loss of vision and developed a cataract in her left eye. Just four days later she had to have surgery to stitch up the laceration.  She was then scheduled for her next surgery which was to have the cataract removed. However, this surgery never happened because she suffered a serious infection and the doctor didn't want to risk it spreading to the inside of her eye during surgery. But, the infection did end up inside of her eye and she completely lost vision. Her eye has been so severely damaged that the doctors are going to remove it in the next couple of weeks. Kéja is a very talented ballerina, loves theater and is very active in school. Because of this tragic injury her life will be forever changed. Funds will go towards medical expenses, travel expenses as her doctors are three hours away, and towards the ocularist we need to make sure Kéja receives the best prosthetic eye to give her a near  normal appearance. We are grateful for all prayers and any monetary assistance. God bless.
