Jerry Runs The Urbanathlon for ASAP

Jerry Azumah will embark on a physical challenge called the Urbanathlon in Illinois. This events is a hardcore 10mile obstacle course challenge designed to test your all-around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. Why is Jerry doing this you ask? - two reasons: The first being to stay in shape and look good (ha!). The second and real reason is to raise funds for his Azumah Student Assistance Program (ASAP). The program is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the youth in our communities. ASAP is committed to providing financial scholarship assistance for underserved students seeking private secondary education in the Chicagoland area in addition to supporting targeted educational youth programs. Since its inception, ASAP has proudly impacted the lives of several youth by rewarding multiple scholarships while also providing varying support to qualified youth programs annually. As a product of scholarship programs himself, Jerry constantly seeks opportunities to raise awareness of and support for ASAP. Recognizing the Urbanathlon as such an opportunity, Jerry has set a personal goal to raise $3,500. All of the proceeds raised will go towards the support of the students of ASAP.
