JC's Multiple Myeloma Journey
Julie Chamberlain was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma this November 2017. It is a type of cancer in the blood, which then goes into the bones.
JSeeesta as she is know to her sisters and JC as she is known to the Park City community, grew up skiing in Western NY & competed in Lake Placid as a Jr. ski racer. She began teaching skiing & coaching the "PC Farm Team" after moving to Park City in 1981.
JC became a Liscenced Massage Therapist in 1995 and Nationally Certified Sports Massage in 1998. Among many other accomplishments, she lead workshops & certifications in Structural Ingetration. Owner of Park City Sports Massage JC & her sister JA have helped many in the community with their injuries & therapeutic modalities.
"Not being able to do what I love and help others is the hardest thing about this illness" Without the help of family & friends, this journey would be way "scarier".
The MM, Recently diagnosed as very fast & aggressive, left little choice but to start Urgent & Immediate chemo & steroid treatments. We intend to include alternative more "natural" methods once the MM is showing signs of remission.
We appreciate & are very grateful for the prayers, thoughts & beams of light sent from all! Those who are asking how they can help? We are creating this site for help with Medical expenses as well as the income that will be lost untill JC is able to get back to what she loves:-) Then the journey building her body back to health will ensue, often with monies that are not covered under insurance.
