Help Jay Get To The Rio Paralympics

Many of you know how important sports and fitness are to me. Living a healthy, active lifestyle is something that is easily taken for granted. I have taken on the challenge of training to hopefully earn a spot on the U.S. Paralympic Cycling Team going to Rio in 2016. Which is one of the biggest sporting events for the disabled, held a few weeks after the "Regular" Olympics at the same venues.
I've spent countless hours, weeks, and months on this goal and have even moved from Colorado to Las Vegas, Nevada so I could train year round to obtain this goal.
Over the past few years one thing that is clear is, I've got what it takes to get to the Paralympics but being chosen is sometimes being in the right place at the right time.
So far this year I've added one more National Championship, for a total of four, to my list of accomplishments and with a recent trip to South Africa I won the races on both days and put myself into the World Cup leader jersey. That also put me in the number #1 ranking slot in the world for the T1 trike division I compete in. WHOA!! That one still hasn't sunk in!
"Where to now," you may be asking?
Well I'm going to redirect my focus to competing at the last world cup of the year in Bilbao, Spain to keep my current #1 ranking in my division and go home with World Cup title to add to everything else that's happened this year. I haven't forgotton about Rio as maybe, just maybe this will put me in the right place at the right time.
Unfortunately to get to Spain it'll take about $5200 total...of which I have $2000 saved already. The biggest expense is flying there, which comes to the tune of $3200. With my disability being what it is I still need to bring someone with me, that's why it costs so much.
The cool part:
You can either make a direct donation, as always, or if you are a United Airlines member you can transfer your unused miles to someone...if you'd transfer them to me I'd be forever grateful.
