Operation Faith In Humanity

It's that time of year again. Everyone is decorating, baking, shopping, preparing to spend time with with friends and family creating happy memories... well, mostly everyone.
See, for some amongst us those things aren't a given. And for someone who is very, very dear to me *(and very dear to quite a good number of you who will read this)* those things aren't even on the radar. She's been faced with deciding between having heat, power, internet (which isn't a luxury, her children use it for school), or putting supper on the table. Supper always wins.
No one. No one should be forced to prioritise necessities, deciding between which basic needs their children will have to do without.  I've been there, aa a lot of us have and it isn't just gutting, it is soul crushing to be forced to make those decisions.
I wish I'd known sooner, the depth of the need. It's only as a matter of finding out in passing that I've been made aware at all- it's incredibly hard to ask for help, and she hasn't... I don't want her to have to.

I can't ask anyone to drop obscene amounts of money in her lap, I won't.
What I am asking is that if you can spare a fiver, please do so- if you can't, but want to do something to help, spread this around to those who may be able to. That may not seem like much, but it fills a gap. When you have needs, and don't have the resources to provide for them- literally every cent is a blessing.
That's not a melodramatic quip, that's the reality of the situation... something, anything is helpful, no matter how insignificant it may seem. It adds up quickly.

If she knew I was doing this she'd kill me... but that's an acceptable risk.

Let's help restore her faith in humanity, and gift her family a proper kick off to the new year. She's been dealt a hand which few of us could've played as well and as gracefully as she has, but the ability to budget, save, and do without only goes so far. You run out of things which you can live without, feeding your children and keeping warm isn't a luxury.

If you've read this far; You're awesome.
Seriously. Thank you (:
