As part of its “Dream Cares” platform, the Atlanta Dream is currently in the midst of its Season of Giving initiative. During the team’s 45 days of giving, the Dream is partnering with various local non-profit organizations to help make sure that members of the Atlanta community are able to enjoy a remarkable holiday season with their friends and family.
Many of our fans have asked how they can help support our Dream Cares efforts, so we wanted to offer you the chance to join our Dream Team to help fulfill these special holiday wishes. We have three special projects currently underway, and your donation could help make a difference in the lives of those in need of some holiday cheer.
First, the Dream is partnering with Kandi Cares to participate in the CHOA Holiday Party, at which the Dream will provide presents and cheer for patients and their families at a Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta location. Your donation will help purchase the gifts that will be delivered to the young patients.
Next, the Dream and Kandi Cares are also partnering in the Blankets of Dreams: Winter Wear Drive presented by RMC Movers. The Dream and Kandi Cares will present new gloves, scarves, hats, coats, socks and blankets that are being collected at various locations to Atlanta Mission’s My Sister’s House, and your donation can help purchase items that will help keep one of the patrons at this shelter warm this winter.
Last but certainly not least, the Dream is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta in an Adopt-a-Family campaign. A family that is in need of assistance has been identified and will be surprised with a package of gifts. The mother of this family is a recent amputee who is struggling to provide for her four children. The Dream has received a list of items that would aid the family, and your donation would help provide the family with clothing and other essential items that would make a big difference in their daily lives.
Our goal is to raise at least $3,000 to purchase toys and clothing items for those organizations and families with whom we have connected. The Atlanta Dream organization will then match any donations up to $3,000. Together, we can make DREAMS come true this holiday season.
The Dream will do all the legwork, purchasing and delivering the items. All we ask of you is a donation to support the cause. So please, consider joining the #DreamCares effort to help those in need as we all work together to make a positive impact in our community.
