Miss S's Weekend With Her Kids
My name is Nathan Eshelman and I am a pastor in the City of Los Angeles, CA. Our church is Bible believing, confessional, gospel-centered, and a member of the RPCNA denomination.
Miss S. attends our congregation as she is able. Miss S. is a displaced woman who is working hard to get her life back together. An aspect of getting her life together is that she is trying really hard to get custody of her children again. They are in care of the state.
As she works to get her life back together, she seeks my counsel, asking what the Scriptures say. She also works through the agencies that she is required to give account to as well as regularly attends the classes and therapy sessions that the state requires.
Homelessness is not an easy thing, especially for a mother who is attempting to put the mistakes of her past behind her.
Miss S.'s therapist has given her a "pass" for the holidays which would allow for her spend a few days with her children. In order to spend a few nights with her children, Miss S. is in need of a motel room for her and her kids.
I am seeking $350 for three nights in a motel for Miss S. and her children. Any extra funds would go to help her in the future as her therapist grants permission for visitations.
