Brothers with Muscular Dystrophy

Donation protected
The Ripley Family has been quietly struggling in Tallmadge, Ohio, for almost 30 years.

Dan and Dustin, ages 29 and 27, are two brothers who both suffer from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Their mother Debbie, who has Multiple Sclerosis, is retired on disability. Their father Dale severely injured his leg at work. Dale's injury, as well as the slow economy, has hindered his ability to work full-time in construction.

Dale and Debbie have struggled to refinance their home due to the lack of work and their sons' monthly medical bills. The medical bills alone leave them financially stressed at the end of each month. The threat of losing their home is a nerve-racking reality; however, these worries take a back seat to the fear of losing one of their children, who cannot even breathe without machines and ventilators.

The Ripleys need $82,000 to refinance their home. Donations will go toward paying off their mortgages. The savings will allow Dale and Debbie to pay medical bills and essential supplies and equipment. Any money exceeding the goal will go toward Dan and Dustin's medical bills.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help. The Ripleys have life-threatening issues to worry about on a daily basis; the last thing they need to stress about is losing their home.

If you can’t donate, have no fear; you can still be a tremendous help. Simply share this page with your social network.
