Jeremy White Bone Cancer Fund

On December 9, 2014, my grandson, Jeremy, was diagnosed with bone cancer. Jeremy is 13 years old. He and his mom (my daughter) will need money for transportation and lodging when necessary. They will also need help with housing costs since my daughter will miss so much work. We don’t know yet what the future will bring, but I will keep you all updated. Jeremy’s next appointment with the pediatric osteo-oncologist is on Monday.
At that time, the oncologist will come up with a treatment plan and will let my daughter and grandson know whether or not Jeremy will need chemotherapy. We pray he won’t need his leg amputated, but we also know that this strong, quirky, creative, and funny little soul is fully capable of handling whatever life throws at him. When I asked him the other day how he was handling his diagnosis, he said, “Better than everyone else.”
I knew what he meant, I told him, because when I had cancer, I felt strong enough to handle it, but I saw everyone around me fall apart.
Jeremy has a strong and engaging spirit. He is one of the most creative little men I’ve ever met. He will have good days and he will have bad days, but he will also need financial help in getting him to his appointments and I felt the need to create this fund to help my daughter financially. GETTING cancer is nothing compared to HAVING A CHILD WHO HAS CANCER. I’m hoping I can count on all of you to help. Even if all you have is a $1, if a thousand of you send $1, my daughter will have enough gas to get back and forth to her appointments for the next month. Right now, the hospital is two hours away from her home.
