Hope for Harper

Hi there,
It's time to bite the bullet and ask for help. Due to our beautiful baby girl entering this world 14 weeks early at 26 weeks 1 day gestation and weighing a mere 700g, Harper has severe chronic lung disease which caused her to develop Pulminary Hypertension. We cannot count the amount of times we watched her turn blue and stop breathing. Our little miracle almost lost her life several times over the course of her 4 month hospital stay in NICU (we are still currently in hospital and are yet to have a release date).
We are still unsure when we will be able to take Harper home but we are desperately trying to arrange our finances so that I can become a stay at home mum as Harper requires special care. With Harper most definitely coming home on oxygen and with the strong advice from our NICU nurses and doctors, we were told to keep her out of daycare for at least the first 12 months to limit her exposure to all the nasty colds and flu's out in the wide world.
Unfortunately, we don't have enough equity in our home and are unable to refinance our loans at present. This is where we have come to the conclusion that maybe our friends are right, and we need to accept herlp from others.
This has not been an easy decision to make and has required lengthy discussions, but we know in our hearts that this may be our only option before I am due to return to work in March 2015. Please, help us put some money onto our finances so that I can become a stay at home parent to our micro preemie angel, Harper May. Your generosity is deeply grateful and more helpful than you could ever imagine.
