Help Hamp's Saddles & Tack Rebuild

During the evening on 12/8/2014, our favorite tack and saddlery store, owned by Hamp Phillips suffered a catastrophic fire, resulting in the loss of his business and tragically, his beloved pet dog, Pistol. The quick work of a neighbor and the Milton City Fire Department saved Mr. Phillips' home from being engulfed by the blaze.
Hamp's has been a mainstay and gathering place for the local equestrian community for many years, and is one of the Georgia Horse Scene's best kept (and often shared) secret.
Hamp Phillips is deserving of the support of the community he has done so much for. His friendly and outgoing nature and wonderful contribution to the Atlanta horse community has inspired me to set up this campaign on the family's behalf and with their blessing and support. The funds from this campaign will go directly to Hamp Phillips in order to help mitigate the loss of his buildings and inventory, and to support him during his recovery. Fox 5 News Atlanta aired the story at 5pm on 12/9/2014.

"Hamp's Saddle and Tack - Last night my father's business, Hamp's Saddle & Tack burned down. This is a business my Dad took over from my Grandfather. He is adored by the Milton Horse folks and have customers who come to shop with him from all over the country.
Praise God that Melissa Day was driving by and saw the flames. She stopped and got my father and my nephew out of bed. The house had embers on the roof and my Dad's blinds in his bedroom were melted from the heat. I know if she had not stopped, the house would have caught on fire and can't even think how much worse this would have been.
The City of Milton fire department stayed all night to make sure there were no flare ups.
I don't know what we'll do at this point, but please pass this along to anyone who has horses and might know my father. This was/is my Dad's passion. After my mother passed away 6 years ago from Alzheimer's, I know this business and my Dad's friends helped keep him going. He loves chatting with his customers, going to Chattanooga with Danny Richards and working in the shop with his grandson Lex.
Unfortunately, his dog Pistol was in one of the buildings. They tried to get him out, but when Lex opened the door, it was already engulfed.
