We are a community, non-profit organization that has been working to share the power of art, music, and dance to individuals of all abilities. It is estimated that over 12% of the population in the United States, and over 1 million individuals in Los Angeles, are currently living with a disability. Many of these people are incredibly capable, and resilient individuals who have amazing gifts to share with the world despite their challenges.
The goal of Limitless is to build a community that empowers people to come together and create powerful art, and to promote a healthy, peaceful world. We strive to celebrate diversity, promote positive expression, and show that we can create beautiful things when we work together. Based locally out of Downey, CA, Limitless was started by occupational therapists and consists of dancers from a variety of backgrounds including all ages, experiences, and abilities (spinal cord injury, stroke, etc.). Our ambassadors also include other therapists, teachers, family members, community advocates, professional dancers/artists, and international producers. We believe that working together will open your eyes to new possibilities, new solutions, and new opportunities to change the world. Our organization is dedicated to the process of making that happen but we need your help.
In our inaugural 2014 year, Limitless was successful in debuting our professional performing dance company and inspiring a network of supporters and fans. We have been able to collaborate with the city of Downey, Stay Gallery, the World Special Olympics, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, city of Malibu, Familia Unida, Univision, and various dance events throughout Los Angeles county. Among them, we have partnered with Mr. Albert Torres, a world-renowned producer of latin dance and music events. Because of our inspiration, Mr. Torres created a special division at the annual World Latin Dance Cup, the biggest Latin dance competition in the world featuring dancers from over forty-one different countries. This new, non-competitive ‘Limitless' division enables dancers of all abilities to perform for an international audience and share their gifts with the world. We are excited to have special dancers from over 7 countries participating in our Limitless division this December in Miami, FL. Limitless has been invited to showcase our professional dance company and inspire change on an international level. We would love to be able to attend this years WLDC and make a difference in the international dance community stage, but we need your support in order to make it happen.
Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of being able to attend this years World Latin Dance Cup, as well as continuing to inspire change and create opportunities for artistic expression locally and globally. Please join us in helping to make the world more 'limitless' for all! Thank you <3
