Help me get through Culinary School!

Donation protected
I am absolutely LOVING going to school here in sunny Orlando, FL!!! I just started my culinary school adventure at Le Cordon Bleu, and I am already in my second set of classes. I am SO proud of myself because I have taken three classes so far, and still have a 4.0 GPA! I'm working on my fourth class right now, and it looks like I am going to complete this class with another A, and adding another 7 credit hours to my total of 8 so far.

Due to some family issues, I had to leave school for about three years. I spent the last two years with custody of my little sister, without any help from our estranged parents. Between paying rent, car insurance, groceries, electricity, and all the little things that were necessary for paying for two people to comfortably live, my meager paycheck from working at Walmart left almost nothing for savings to move from Colorado all the way down to Florida, let alone also pay for my education.

My sister is only two years younger than me, but I decided to put my education career on hold in order to give her a stable home environment so she could graduate high school at the same time as all of her friends. I personally attended five different high schools by the time I graduated, but my little sister, Ashley, managed to get through the entirety of her high school career. Ashley also knew from the beginning that I was going to move to Florida for school once she was graduated, so we spent those two years with me teaching her the necessary life skills, as well as job finding skills in order for her to be able to comfortably live on her own.

It is definitely a little harder now for me to make ends meet, because between driving the 30-45 minutes to and from school, and driving a further 20-30 minutes to work in the opposite direction, I am on the road about 2 hours on any given day, and of course, a good portion of my still meager paycheck goes to gas every week.

I am already getting quite a bit of money from grants, but I still have to take a lot of money out in student loans each year in order to pay for schooling. Every little bit helps, and I am going to make it my goal, that, by the time I graduate, I want to have paid off my school bill completely. That should be easy enough with all the scholarship funds available, especially if I actually try a little to get those funds. The worst that can happen is that I won't get it. It doesn't hurt to ask! Of course, filling out a couple scholarships per day doesn't hurt either! :)

Thank you all for all your support in helping my make my dreams come true!!
