Tracey Schmidt's Brain Surgery Fund

Donation protected
My name is Trish Schmidt, and I am trying to raise money for my sister-in-law who is going in for brain surgery. In march of 2009, she had her first of many epileptic seizures. After having a CT scan done it was discovered that she had an AVM (Arteriovenous malformation) in the left side of her brain.
In July of 2010 she was scheduled for surgery but do to the massive size of the AVM the surgery was cancelled as it was to risky to perform. Jan 2011 she flew to Winnipeg for Gamma Knife Surgery, wich is a form of radiation in hopes that it would disintegrate the AVM. After 3 years of waiting for the radiation to take full effect it was discovered that it only shrunk it a very small amount but didnt take it away. Althought due to the shrinking it has now has made it possible for surgery, wich is taking place on the 2nd of December 2014.
Tracey is a single woman who makes minimum wage and wont be recieving more then 800.00 a month from EI ( Employment Insurance), she will not be able to keep her apartment for pay for any of her bills with such a small amount. The doctors are saying that she might be off work for up to 6 months and with in that time she will lose everything she has.
We are just trying to raise enough to supplement the little amount of money that she will be recieving. Anything above and beyond will be donated to the Neurology Department at the U of A Hospital Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
On behalf of Tracey and the rest of our family we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have found it in your hearts to help out in the situation, especially at this time of year.
