Hurricane pets head to MA for help
Tax deductible
Hurricane Irma has devastated Florida. The pictures are tough to see and so many people are affected. But for pets who were already homeless in shelters this is a crisis. Nearly 100 of these pets are making their way way to Second Chance Animal Services in East Brookfield MA. They need housing, care, and time to be ready to go to a new home. Some of them need medical care. Please help us to help them. 29 dogs arrived today and 68 cats are expected tomorrow. All these pets were already in shelters in FL. They needed to be moved out so the shelters down there can take in pets that are displaced and/or to help the shelters get back up and running. We are happy to be there to help these pets. Many of the dogs we took in are older, need medical care, or are large dogs that are harder to place. Funds will be used for their care, medical expenses, and whatever other needs they have prior to adoption. Whatever help provided is greatly appreciated. We thank you and the pets thank you!
