Blessings!
We are the Hugies, family of 8. Living in the blazing state of Texas! :) Hi, my name is April.

Mark 10:52 says… And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

We live by faith and by faith alone, our family has gone through trials and tribulations and through it all our Father has been by our side and we know he will continue to see us through our journey.
We are in need of blessings for the purchase or building of a new home or for home improvements to our current home and building onto what we already have.
Three months after I purchased my home it was burned to the ground due to a faulty wire in my sons Fisher Price truck. It was charging on the back porch when it sparked and set the back of the house on fire. I was a single mother at the time with two children, one 3 year old and my 5 year old with Cerebral Palsy, he can’t walk or talk so I had to pick him up and run out of the house. The fire spread quickly and soon after we escaped the entire house was on fire. We lost everything and I had to start over completely. Many blessings were bestowed upon us and I was able to re-build the home.

A couple of years after my home was rebuilt, things began to fall apart. The construction company that rebuilt my home in fact did not do it efficiently.  They added 6 ½ feet extra to the back of my house but did not attach the new concrete slab to the existing foundation properly, therefore,  the back wall of my home is sliding away from the house, this in turn causes many problems. There are many large cracks in the walls, doors stick, nail pops.  I had tried to contact the company that rebuilt my home,  but they avoided my advances and soon went out of business.

We had a foundation repair company come out to assess the damage and he informed us it would cost over 10,000 dollars to fix!  That of which we did not have.
That is just one of our problems, both my husband and I are full time workers, my husband works many overtime hours just for us to keep our heads above water. Our home is only 1200 square feet, 3 bedrooms, and with 6 children, two of which are teenagers, and one 13yo with Cerebral Palsy, it’s quite cramped. Currently we have 3 boys in one room and 3 girls in another and each room is barely 200 square feet, if that.

We need a home that is handicapped accessible. My son is in a wheelchair, but we have to carry him through the house because we can’t maneuver the wheelchair through, and because of the three beds in the bedroom, there is no room to put the wheelchair in there.
Ideally it would be a blessing to either be able to build UP on our home so that we can have more space, or to move into or build a new home. I have a 16yo, and a 15yo that I would love to have their own rooms, my son that is disabled needs his own room so that we are able to cater that room for him specifically. Eventually we want to get equipment to assist him with mobility we just don't have the finances to be able to get all of the equipment he needs to be as independent as we want him to be.   Since he can’t walk he spends a lot of time on the floor rolling around or commando crawling, :)   Eventually we would like to invest in mobility equipment, he’s 13 now and getting heavier every year and with my scoliosis and other back problems, my husband and my sons are the ones moving him around.
We are a very close family, God is number one in our lives and we know that with him all things are possible.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says… Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

We would need at least 50,000 to either be able to move into a new home or build a second story on top of our current home. If we build on, we will have to fix the foundation and all affected walls and interior issues first.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, I tried to make it as short as possible, but there was just too much to say.
We pray that God blesses someone’s heart and is able to bestow blessings in return, may God Bless YOU in your journeys in life and may He keep you in his spirit, always.

Thank you,
The Hugies
