Josh and Maria Blake

In the past I have seen the remarkable healing power of a community banding together to provide financial stability in a time of otherwise chaos. I have been personally blessed and changed by this very thing.
With this in mind I would like to ask all of you to consider supporting Josh and Maria Blake in this difficult season of life. I am confident that your support will change their lives.
Here is a little of Josh’s story:
On Friday, November 21st, Josh was working at a job site 10 feet up and took a hard fall. A large wooden truss structure fell also and struck his skull, crushing a big portion of bone at impact. In addition to facial and cranial fractures, his brain was traumatically injured as well.
Upon emergency neuro surgery the family was given grave news. Survival was unlikely. A portion of Josh’s upper skull had to be removed to allow for most effective healing and then was repaired and fastened back with titanium plates. Josh’s left eye incurred major damage as well. It is unknown at this time its prognosis, but we are hopeful. Josh’s upper sinuses were removed to allow for brain expansion/swelling. That area is held in place by tissue taken from his stomach to support his face.
With a thankful heart, I can say that as of today, November 23rd, Josh continues to make strides to show God’s goodness and show up the surgeon’s grave assessment! We are amazed at Josh’s strength. We are amazed at Maria’s strength. I am amazed by how fiercely Josh and Maria are loved by friends and Family.
Now that you know their story, here is some of what your donation will cover:
-Medical out of pocket expenses for two insurance years (2014, and 2015). Josh will most likely be in recovery for at least the next 12 months.
-Ongoing bills the Blake family will take in. As Josh was the primary breadwinner, their home and other assets are compromised.
-Traveling and other unknown expenses sure to happen throughout the next year plus (Josh is in Columbus @Riverside).
So, will you journey with me in helping the Blake family receive financial stability in this hard time?
