Emergency Funds for HC Faculty & Staff

As many of you know, the Board of Trustees at Hiwassee College have made the decision to close the College after 170 years of being in operation. Currently, there are several staff members (some with families) that reside on the campus in rental housing. With the closing of HC, these individuals will be homeless unless they are able to find housing on such a short notice. In order to do this, they will need additional financial means they were not prepared to have. Additionally, there are still plenty of faculty and staff that have not been able to find a new job yet. Soon, they will struggle to provide basic needs for themselves and their families. We are asking everyone in the Hiwassee family to donate what they can to assist these individuals who have served Hiwassee (with very little pay) through the years. 

We want these faculty and staff members to know that we take care of our own. Once a tiger, always a tiger.
