Christmas Fundraiser for the homeless

With the success of the past two christmas and also Easter fundraisers in London and Melbourne, this years will be again based in Melbourne. Please note the donations will be made in GBP as I cannot change my account currency.
The holiday period can be incredibly lonely for those living on the streets, without the love and warmth of family.
This year, we wanted to do something special this year for the less fortunate. Giving and receiving gifts is a big part of Christmas, so the aim of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to grant a wish to the homeless people we meet on boxing day & give them a special gift.
While most of us wish for extravagent gifts, something very basic like new clothes or a food voucher would mean the world to someone living on the streets. Help us make this happen by donating even the smallest amount - it all goes a long way.
How will these funds be spent?
On Boxing Day, we will meet people living on the streets across Melbourne central, ask what they would like for Christmas & fulfill that request (or as close to). With any residual funds they will receive local food/clothing vouchers.
This campaign will be partially recorded for YouTube just so that donars who have generously contributed can see where their donations went, and hopefully we can make next years even bigger.
Who am I and where am I from?
My name is Sam Ashleigh, a local travel & food blogger based in Melbourne. I've been involved in charity work for years - it all started when I was young, my grandfather would take me to a local aged care home to give gifts to the elderly who had no family visiting them over the holidays. He taught me these values and how important it is to be compassionate and giving. I am hoping with the help of digital technology/social media platforms, campaigns such as this will have more impact and reach. Lets come together to make a difference and hopefully spread awareness of homelessness across the world.
