Thank you for supporting

Thank you all for the amazing support of my philantropic work. Lets support Jake and many other children in the village of Asempanaye, Koforidua. Ghana.

As an artist, I'm passionate about using my talent to help children. I was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa in a small rural village called Odumasi. I loved art because it was a wonderful way for me to express my inner joy and happiness.

Now being in the US, I've been privileged to have the best resources and opportunities with art. In my heart, I always knew there was a way to give back using my talent. I've visited Ghana twice teaching and mentoring the children. Earlier this year, I spent 3 months in East Africa; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, teaching and mentoring children.

My goal is to travel back to Ghana and return to the village of Asempanaye to continue teaching the children and providing art resources and materials for the students. Most importantly, I would love to help Jake and the other children in Jake's village, who are extremely eager to learn, while servicing the community of Asempanaye at large.

When I visited Ghana for the first time, I was invited by the Chief of Asempanaye to the (PTA) Parents and Teachers Association) meeting of Asempanaye Primary School. During the meeting we had many discussions on issues that the children faced as well as the community. I was able to learn some important ways to help the students, teachers and their parents.

The Children:My goal is to secure funds to help support Jake's tuition from Primary school through Secondary school and beyond. Much like Jake, my goal is to support many of the students who are in Jake's position. Those children are in need of proper school uniforms, shoes and sports attire. Due to the lack of consistant electricity in Ghana, it is sometimes difficult for the children to do their homework at night as seen in the picture above. I will provide an alternative generator during power outages.

School Needs:The school has three levels of education going from Preschool to Kindergarten and then Primary 1-6. The facility has two buildings divided into sections and a large soccer park. Some of the main issues at large are;
Clean sanitary water for the children during school hours.
Safe and clean playground.
New soccer goals instead of the bamboo goals as shown in the picture above.
Sports equipment (The school usually have inter school sports activities)
Proper sustainable Lavatories for the school
New Desks, Tables and Chairs (All the tables and chairs were donated from non governmental entities when the school was first built and now they are in bad conditions.

Community:
"It takes a village to raise a child"
After the PTA meeting, I sat down with the chairman. He first thanked me for my services to the village and asked me a simple question, "What can we do to better the community and school" I said, it is very important to first educate the community as a whole. Working together as a community is very important for the well being of the children. I intend to set up workshops with the leaders of community about how they can best help themselves.

PLEASE share this page with all of your friends and family!!! For $10, you could help send a child to Primary School in the Village of Asempanaye. It is my goal to raise enough funds, to help support as many students annually. Your contribution and support will help a child attend school and receive the vital resources needed for a successful education. I truly appreciate all of your help!
