Warren Lincoln Youth Wrestling Club
Hello All, We are very appreciative to WDIV and the Channel 4 News Team for airing our need to help our wrestlers. To everyone, we have a much greater need than what we have initially have asked for. We have a need for your support in our future mentoring programs. We would like to offer kids on site tutoring assistance so our wrestlers know and understand "School Comes First". We would also like to sponsor kids/ families that who cannnot afford to pay the fees for youth membership fees, wrestling tournaments, equipment and team gear. We are truly hoping to even provide possible scholarship assitance to our hard working wrestlers and their families who struggle to make ends meet. Our goal is to educate our kids through the sport of wrestling, and give them opportunities that they would not receive otherwise. Examples...... we have toured the MSU campus to let our wrestlers know that college can in fact be an obtainable reality. So we are asking for donations great and small as we can truly do some good for our youth club to help prepare their young minds for manhood and all the obstacles life may bring. The Lincoln Wrestling Team/ Youth/ Middle & High School
We are an inner city wrestling club near Detroit trying to teach boys ages 5-14 how to become men through the sport of wrestling. We are a non profit organization that does not receive funding through a school. We had counted on a local sponsor that let us down at the last minute, that we counted on for help. Our hope is to earn enough money to provide these hard working boys team singlets (wrestling uniforms) with a team logo so they can feel a part of something special. We would also like to give them an opportunity to take a few national trips to show them what wrestling on the national scene would be like. Due to the economic conditions of the area we are in, parents would have a very difficult time fulfilling the needs of our youth wrestling club. Any support you can give us would be greatly appreciated, and would put a large smile on some hard working boys faces.
