Lindsay Jones' Road to Recovery

Lindsay and her boyfriend, Dustin, were in an accident on November 1, 2014. They were riding Dustin's motorcycle when they were hit in an intersection in LA. They were both rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where they stayed for 11 days. Dustin's injuries were minor, whereas Lindsay's were quite severe. She suffered 6 breaks, including a broken clavicle, broken pinky, broken thumb joint, and a compound fracture of her tibia and 2 (plus) breaks of her fibula (left leg). The morning after the accident, Lindsay underwent an 8 hour surgery on her left leg and thumb joint.
Once she was released from the hospital, she and her family made the 9 hour drive back to Reno. Unfortunately, Lindsay's house has far too many stairs to climb, and since she cannot put any weight on her leg, she is staying with her family for optimal healing.
The day after she got back into Reno, she had an appointment with a local surgeon for follow-up appointments. The surgeon took his own set of X-rays where he discovered that she would need to undergo yet another surgery; this time on her left clavicle and her left pinky. She has now had surgery on all 6 of her breaks.
Lindsay is an independent contractor at Hello Darling Salon as a hairstylist, as well as an entrepreneur with Honey & Goldies as a metalsmith, and unfortunately does not have health insurance. This is why she needs our help. She cannot stand or use her hands to cut hair, nor can she use her hands to make jewelry. Doctors have estimated her recovery time to take up to 6 months.
The $10,000 will go towards Lindsay's monthly bills and expenses that she has acquired from the accident. She is more than grateful and genuinely touched for all of the kind words and support she's already received from the community.
