Help Daemian heal -- 4 operations

Donation protected
On October 1, I went to a clinic after a few days of thinking I had pulled my left quadriceps.

On October 3, after x-ray, I got a call from the clinic and was told to go to the ER immediately. My housemate drove me to Boulder Community Hospital.

The pain had felt unbearable, and it brought tears as I waited to be admitted. I was informed in time that my left hip socket was infected by a Staph/M.R.S.A. bacteria. It required a contagion-control hospital room.

Controlling the infection required two arthroscopic washes, then two full open hip surgeries, all over 10 days. I was in the hospital for 18 days straight. I was on constant Vencomycin antibiotic IVs. Now I have a 14-inch incision that is stapled shut along the left leg /hip.

Unfortunately, I lost 20 lbs in the hospital. There were many side effects from drugs, and pain I could never have imagined. I had night terrors and waking delusions. My lips peeled continuously, leaving massive scabs.

Upon being discharged, I had a PICC line installed so that I can continue Vencomycin antibiotic for 6 weeks 24/7 at home (a tube running from right arm inside an artery to deliver medicine near the top of my heart).

I am asking for help to cover the lost income in October, and two months into the future as I recover, including 6 weeks' formal convalescence -- when I'm unable to work, unless and until I find opportunities I can pursue from home, such as writing, editing, design, consulting, graphics, and Internet tasks.

(I have folded in the 2.99% transaction fees, which are $224 for my goal amount.)
