When it comes to our personal life, Scott and I tend to be kind of private. I think it is easier for us to share photos of our beloved kitties Mouser and Peach than it has been to publicly broadcast the challenging times we have had to endure most recently. Last year Scott and I got engaged and shortly after we decided to get married over the summer in a small ceremony attended by our closest family members. Prior to getting married Scott was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Scott’s diagnosis was a huge piece of news that has changed the course of his life for almost a year as he has courageously endured vigorous rounds of treatment to fight his cancer.
When Scott proposed to me, i knew was saying yes to not only being his future wife but to being right by his side as he battles his cancer head on. It was both a terrifying and thrilling prospect. I wanted to not only be his wife, but more importantly for him to survive his cancer. I am happy to report that Scott’s treatment is nearing it’s end and should be complete sometime in June. His prognosis is good, his cancer is fully in remission and he is taking extra rounds of chemo to try to help ensure it doesn’t come back in the future.
Even with insurance Scott is accruing some pretty sizable medical bills throughout his treatment. We have tried to manage finances on our own and through the help of family but cancer costs amount to more than we could ever pay on our own, We are humbly asking for anyone that can provide support to please donate to cover the cost of Scott’s mounting medical bills. Words can’t express how much everyone’s generosity will be appreciated.

Shout out to the Hunter swim team for continuing to break records and for winning the championship two years in a row!! Winning the championship this year was definitely a silver lining for Scott in year filled with much adversity.
