My name is Dan and I'm one of the many people whose lives Michael Baker has touched for the better. I'm running this campaign on behalf of Michael's family, friends and many clients who feel the same way.
Michael was recently arrested and charged with Burglary. He was released on bail the next day and continued with his life as a personal trainer and coach, helping countless people feel better about themselves and achieve their life goals. Every one of Michael's clients will tell you he is one of the most committed, caring and attentive people they have ever worked with. A few weeks later, Michael was summoned to the court where the DA lobbied for his bail to be increased to $250,000 bond or $100,000 cash as he represented a 'flight risk' - despite the fact that he had previously returned to work. As Michael and his family do not have this kind of money, Michael was immediately remanded in to custody and is currently sitting in the Manhattan Detention Center with no date set for a trial.
As Michael was training clients at the gym at the time of the accused burglary, his lawyers are hopeful he will beat the case - but lawyers cost money as does his bail, and he stands a much better chance of fighting this quickly outside than he does in a jumpsuit behind bars.
