Erika's Medical Bill Fund

On December 26th I found out that I have a golf ball sized cyst in my brain. Since then I've had multiple seizures, my right leg became paralyzed and when the feeling came back I couldn't walk, vision problems, short term memory loss, confusion, migraines, desenitization of the right side of me body, and many other neurological issues. Mid January I had to go on medical leave from work, and in March I had to go on disability. We had a very strong start to this campaign which I couldn't be happier about. I was finally able to get the surgery I needed on April 23rd. The cyst is drained and the neurosurgeon is confident that it won't grow back. I spent 2 nights in the ICU, a few nights in the hospital, then I was transferred to a rehab facility for a week and a half. Now I am doing in-home rehabilitation and then will have to do an outpatient rehab. I am glad the surgery went as close to perfect as possible, but I still have a long way to go to recover. It will be about another 6 months until I'll be able to work again, and 1-2 years to be as close to 100% as possible. I am on my way to getting better, and have to remember to take it day by day and that there are many people out there that care about me. I don't only want to get better for myself, I want to get better for all those who have been a huge support. My wonderful boyfriend, Schyler. He hasn't left my side through this whole ordeal and means the world to me. All he wants is to see me get better.

Last, but not least, my cats Nana and Maxi. They can tell when I'm not feeling well and will stay by my side (except for when it comes time to eat!)
