Help Shania' s recovery

Donation protected
On the 31st January our precious Shania was hit by a car whilst riding her bike around oak circle in kings Lynn. She was taken to Queen Elizabeth hospital where we were told she'd fractured her pelvis in 4 places, she also suffered a small bleed on the brain.
She was later taken to Addenbrooks as her Injurys could not be dealt with in Kings Lynn.
We later found out she had fractured and dislocated her right ankle aswell.
On Thursday 1st February she was taken to theatre for 7 hours to have a plate and screws fixed to the front of her pelvis and plate and screws secured on the back of her pelvis stabilising her pelvis.
Her ankle had been broken in too many peices for surgery to stabilise meaning a cast was put on and it to be left for natural healing process to take place.
After theatre she was taken straight into intensive care due to unstable observations and a low haemoglobin level.
After two days in intensive care she was transferred into a trauma specialist ward in addenbrooks.
Since then she has began recovering, with physiotherapy every day, learning to move without weight bearing and slowly controlling the pain.
Shania can not weight bare for 3 months due to her Injuries and will then have to learn to walk again... her ankle may never fully repair meaning a fusion could be needed in a few months to stabilise the ankle.
She is currently back in Queen Elizabeth hospital getting stronger every day, however she cannot come home until we find a suitable house for her due to her Injuries and being bed and wheel chair bound for the foreseeable future. She also requires a large amount of equipment to enable her to stay comfortable, reduce pressure sores and be as independent as possible.
Our current house cannot be accessed safely by wheel chair causing her progress home to be delayed, not only this but the house is not big enough for a wheel chair to fit. She needs a profiling bed to enable her to turn and sit up as much as possible, plus moving and handling equipment.

She has been through a terrifying ordeal and all we want to do is get her home and comfortable.
We've set this page up to raise funds to be able to get her the equipment she needs to come home and a house suitable for her. We want our little Dorris home where she belongs.

Please help us, and donate any thing you can afford. Everything is greatly appreciate.

Love Suzanne and Becca
