Help Kathy Breathe Easy

 Hi friends, Please join me in supporting this very worthy cause. Kathy nolan is terminally ill. Born with muscular dystrophy, she has conquered cancer and also suffers from sarcoidosis. This combination has put her into active respiratory failure and has left her reliant on supplemental oxygen 24/7. This means she is trapped in her home attached to an oxygen concentrator by 10 meters of tubing. She is a prisoner in her apartment. In order to access the outside world kathy must lug around large oxygen cylinders which only last her 90 mins each. This means she only goes out to attend medical appointments. Not a great quality of life. The worst thing is that kathy has been accepted into a clinic In Brisbane that may be able to give her a treatment that could extend her life. But she has to get to Brisbane and spend at least one night in a motel then make trip home, which of course is currently impossible!! There is a simple solution to all these problems. It is a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC). An amazing machine weighing only 2.3kg, the POC allows Kathy to access the community and the medical help she desperately needs. The NDIS has agreed to fund the POC but in order to travel, kathy needs at least 10 batteries which cost upwards of $300 each because each battery only lasts an hour.
