Help Danny to volunteer in Peru

Hi, I'm Danny, a fifteen-year-old student, who loves challenges and perseveres even if something is difficult. I am travelling to Peru in 2019 once I have completed my GCSEs.
I have been given an exciting opportunity to spend four weeks with Camps International, volunteering on local community projects. Camps International support rural communities and focus on improving access to education, training and healthcare. They work to provide clean water and shelter for those who need it.
Kajilarakay
The first place I will be volunteering is in Kajilarakay, Moray in the south-east of Peru. This community is extremely poor and has no basic sanitation or sewerage. There is lack of adequate drinking water and a shortage of crops can lead to malnutrition. We will help this community by laying foundations and mixing cement to help construct buildings. We will also plaster, paint and decorate the new buildings, as well as plant crops for food.
Pinchello
In Pinchello, Colca the community is very poor due to its isolation and harsh environment. Here we will help construct vitally needed community buildings from local materials.

Lake Titicaca
The communities surrounding Lake Titicaca are some of the poorest in Peru. The remoteness and inaccessibility of this region mean there is little or no help available from the surrounding areas. We will help by building a classroom for the villagers, as well as restoring the village greenhouse.
