Heaters for Homeless in Manassas VA
The Sons of Allen men’s ministry of First A.M.E. Church of Manassas , Reverend Etoria V. Goggins, Pastor, is hosting SUPER-WEEKEND 2017! , February 3rd, 4th, and 5th. With fun, fellowship, ministry, and bowling for the entire family, the weekend kicks-off Friday night with the First 1st Friday Fish Fry just for the men. Then it’s the 6th Annual SUPER-BOWLing Saturday, and the K-BOWL for kids ages 6 – 10 years old.
As a part of the weekend festivities, we are asking for cold weather donations to support our local homeless community in Manassas, Virginia; items like gloves, hats, boots, jackets, hand warmers, boot warmers, blankets, tents, lanterns, sleeping bags, etc.
We call this initiative the Sunday SUPER-GIVE , because immediately following our Sunday worship service on February 5th, we will deliver all the items donated directly to the homeless members in our community. In addition, considering the severe cold weather expected over the coming months, we are looking to donate as many indoor safe portable heaters as possible; which is why we started this GoFundMe campaign.
We are asking for your help, to help us, help the homeless people of Manassas, Virginia. We will deliver the items on Sunday, February 5th, so please give today.
