Hearing for Haven

I am trying to raise money for Haven to have an equal opportunity to hear. There are two device bundles that will help her function at home as well as in the classroom.
The first device is a Compilot / TV bundle which is $448.00. This component paired with the hearing aids she already owns will give her the capability to sync to any electronic. (Examples iPad, TV, phone, audio book)
The second and most important device bundle is a FM transmitter/reciever, which is $1046.00 PER HEARING AID Reciever AND $1046.00 FOR ONE Transmitter . (Total $3138.00) These components when paired with the hearing aids she already owns will give her the capability to hear anyone who speaks into the microphone, which is easily worn on a necklace. The main benefit is canceling out other distracting noises by piping their voice directly into her ears.
This is most important because Haven is starting kindergarten this year. (August 5th) She is being integrated with children of normal hearing capacity and will no longer be taught individually. She will still receive audiology therapy monthly to assure she doesn't fall behind. Now it is our job to assure she has every opportunity to proceed productively no matter what it takes.
With this technology she will not have to compete with white noise or over other children's voices to hear important directions or lessons. Also being able to hear the teacher without them looking directly at her is invaluable because they might have their back to her writing on the board or the fact they have other students who deserve interaction. Haven is being mainstreamed for her own benefit and will no longer be the center of her teachers attention.
Unfortunately it takes money to provide her with tools that her government insurance and school system do not deem absolutely necessary.
Any amount of money is greatly appreciated and couldn't go to a more deserving little girl!
If you do not have the ability to donate we completely understand and urge you to contact Fulton county public schools to demand they offer the best opportunities for our disabled children no matter the cost. It's our tax dollars being spent so we should have a say in where it goes.
