Healing Vets Freedom Walk

Healing Vets Freedom Walk is a journey that I'm embarking on March 27-29 in which I will be ruck marching the Tippecanoe County lines, in all equals 90 miles.  I created this event because I'm  passionate about our Military Veterans and the  unseen battles that we face: Depression, PTSD, and suicidal thoughts.  I'm currently struggling as many are with these battles, so I wanted to focus my attention on something that can make a difference,   Pet’s Healing Vets, a program by Humane Society for Hamilton County is an organization that provides the struggling veteran with a trainanimal (dog or cat) in which will enable the veteran to focus on taking care of the pet.  They also provide Dog therapy where the Dog can pick up on the triggers that the veteran faces and will assist them by waking them up out of nightmares, give comfort during these times, and giving the veteran a sense of responsibility.  I strongly believe in this cause and would be completely overwhelmed with any donation that one can provide.  All proceeds will be presented to the Pet’s Healing Vets, a program by Humane Society for Hamilton County, Indiana.  Not only will you be helping a Military Veteran but saving a Dog or Cats life by providing them a loving home.
