Curing my girls disease

Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Sheila Cintron and I'm asking for help to save my children's lives. All though my girls Haylee and Helen look healthy they are very sick girls. They suffer with a disease called sickle cell, which because of lack of tissue oxygen can cause attacks of sudden, severe pain, called pain crises. These pain attacks can occur without warning, and a person often needs to seek medical attention for effective treatment. The red cell sickling and poor oxygen delivery can also cause organ damage. Over a lifetime, SCD can harm a person’s spleen, brain, eyes, lungs, liver, heart, kidneys, penis, joints, bones, or skin. Because of this one of my girls no longer has her spleen and at an early age also had to have her gallbladder removed. Most recent Haylee was very sick and as always I was afraid for her life. Just a month after Helen got very sick to the point where doctors asked for us to consider a bone marrow transplant. Our family is going through a storm at the moment and I know there is more to come. I have faith that things will be ok despite the struggle we have ahead of us. Today I’m asking for help to get our family through this rewarding yet devastating process. Not all is covered by insurance and our family has to go through with the bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant to give my girls a better quality of life. If I don’t do this I will watch my girls die slowly and this is no way for a parent to see their children. In addition, the stem cell transplant is a safer way but it is conducted out of the state of Massachusetts, of which, will cost us much more money. This also means that at some point one of us parents would have to leave our job to attend to our daughters and my son Ryan of and everything will fall back on one income of which will not be enough to up keep with the household expenses. Like most American families both parents have to work to keep up with life expenses. I’m reaching out to everyone to help us out and give my girls a better chance at life. I don’t know which episode could be there last. This transplant is the only way for a cure and a better chance of a healthy long quality of life. Anything counts to give both my girls a fighting chance. In advance our family thanks you for your donation.
