Hadrian's Wall Walk for Bloodwise

Donation protected
I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Follicular Lymphoma in March 2010. A low grade indolent blood cancer which is treatable but not curable. I was put on Watch & Wait treatment for over 6 years until August 2016 where I needed to start chemotherapy. 6 rounds of R-Bendamustine followed by 2 years of Rituximab maintenance treatment. Following treatment the side effects and ongoing treatment affect me on a daily basis, suffering with tiredness and fatigue and arthritic pains in most of my joints. I decided I wasn't going to let this disease beat me, so I wanted to give something back to a charity that researches into Blood Cancer, I will be donating to Bloodwise and my local Oncology unit who have supported me throughout my treatment and for their continued support to date. So what better way to give a little back and to also get myself fighting fit I decided to do the Hadrian's Wall Walk, walking 84 miles over 4 days, now to most this could be easy but for me I have to account for my daily struggles along the way. I will be starting my journey on the 23rd of April at Bowness of Solway and ending at Wallsend on the 26th. Please sponsor me so I can reach my target amount and help fund and raise awareness to blood cancers. Bloodwise does not get funding like Cancer research. Blood cancer is the 5th most common cancer and the 3rd biggest cancer killer.
