Help Save Our Dark Knight!

Donation protected
This is our Bengal cat named Knight, otherwise affectionately known as our "Dark Knight" (or Knight Fury.) He is only 7 months old and has been a wonderful kitten, keeping the apartment of Petham (alias the Pettit household) safe from the nefarious evil insects that try to invade.

A few weeks ago, we took these pictures. He was healthy, strong, and ready for action. But something went wrong. All of a sudden, he became very ill. He couldn't keep food down, couldn't drink, and began to lose weight rapidly. We took him to the vet to see what was happening. After an incredible amount of money and many tests, the vet remained baffled and told us that he needed to see a specialist.

Knight tried his hardest to convince us he was okay. He still wanted to play, still wanted to cuddle, and still wanted treats--even though he couldn't stomach them. But slowly, he began to dwindle. He stopped playing. It was  clear that we needed to take him to see the specialist after all.

At this point, everyone--including the vet--was bewildered. A number of tests had been run, but nothing showed up. And yet his symptoms persisted. The specialist was just as baffled as we were. After more calls, more tests, more time away from home, and a lot more expenses, we finally got a call with some new information.

During a scope and biopsy procedure, the specialist found  what seemed to be an unknown symmetrical pattern of red lesions lining his intestines. It was something--but nobody knew what exactly. The specialist gave us a few different medications to use while waiting for the biopsy results, and we were able to bring him home. The two best friends are now, temporarily, reunited.

Talia, in concern for her brother, has done her very best to take care of him while he's been down.

In order to cover all of our expenses, including more to come, we have set a goal of $4,015. This amount will cover the tests that have been done to determine the issues, as well as the scope and biopsy. We know that there are many good causes worth investing in, but whether you're a family member, a friend, whether you want to see the Dark Knight rise (again), or whether you just like cute kitties, please consider contributing! We would love to see our little Knight back in action once more. God bless, and thank you.
