Help Fund My Internship in Ecuador!

As some of you  may know, I have been working on my Sustainability Coordinator degree program for 2 years now and have just recently been accepted to participate an international internship program. The project I\'ll be working on is hosted by a plant conservation center and biological reserve called, Jatun Sacha. Jatun Sacha\'s facility offers work within biological reserves in either the coast, the Amazon, the Andes or Galapagos Islands. Activities include reforestation, agro-forestry, station maintenance, assisting current research, community environmental education, resource management projects, forest and plant nurseries, aquaculture, community development, organic agriculture, horticulture, cacao production, and more!

The location I have been placed is in the Upper Napo River region of the Amazon Jungle in Ecuador. There I will help with compost maintenance, botanical gardens maintenance, seeds collection, soil preparation, tree nursery maintenance, trails maintenance, vegetable garden maintenance, workshops of handicrafts with Quechua community, reforestation projects, precipitation and temperature data collection, agroforestry experiments - data collection, maintenance of facilities, assist in the kitchen, teach english at nearby schools, cacao harvesting, drying and production of chocolate. 

This internship will help further shape my future career goals of working in environmental conservation, environmental non-profit (NGOs), and eco-tourism. Jatun Sacha also offers ecotourism, as well as professional research services. I will get to experience first hand how an organization like this is run, what roles are available in place such as this, and how I can better tailor my academic goals to fit the criteria of the professional environment. As a result, I will be able to dial in a clearer view of how I can be a more effective steward.  This internship will take me to the next level of my goal of protecting and serving sensitive ecosystems. 

This is an expensive program, I\'ll take out the loan if I have to. This means that much to me; to be able to take my life to new heights and to see my dreams made manifest, BUT... if I can raise funds to help buffer such a big debt, then that is even more ideal. If you can make any contribution, no matter how big or small. Even if it\'s just $1, that makes me $1 closer to my dream. I have 3 months to raise the money, I have faith that I\'ll be able to generate enough funds to cover it all, but now that all depends on divine timing.
